Children often run around and have a good time in their houses. Their curiosities are at an all-time high. However, we must make sure that our homes, specifically our kitchens, are safe. Accidents will always be present, so here are some tips to help keep your kitchen safe and kid-friendly.
Kids and even toddlers will always be able to reach your cupboards or lower cabinets. Make sure that your knives and sharp utensils are stored in your upper cabinets. Always keep your kitchen floor clean and dry. Have it mopped and make sure that there are no bits of food on the floor. Less slipping means fewer accidents.
Put away your electrical appliances such as blenders right after using them. Make sure they are stored where your kids can’t reach them. If you do not have enough space in your upper cabinets, try installing safety locks. Lastly, have a talk with your children about the things they can do in the kitchen. Communicating with them will help them start on the right track.
